THANK YOU !
It is my belief that there is a certain honor
and losing, and there is no honor in not trying.
A sincere thank you to all of my supporters for voting for me
for Southampton Town Supervisor! Whether you placed a sign on your front lawn,
attended a fundraiser, helped to make phone calls, handed out literature,
stuffed envelopes or just called or emailed to say “Good Luck, you’ve got my
vote!” – please know that I sincerely appreciate everything that was done to
support my candidacy during the months and weeks leading up to Election Day!
was truly an honor and a privilege to have had the opportunity to offer voters
a choice in this year’s General Election.
Despite all of the misleading, negative tactics from the opposition, my
grassroots campaign remained focused on the truth, calling for more responsive
government based on a platform addressing the important challenges facing the
Town. For me, this race was all about
demonstrating my commitment to the ideals of good government and truly
representing the needs of the everyday people who live and work here.
Please also accept my heartfelt gratitude for your kind words
and expression of thanks for my past public service as Supervisor and
Councilwoman. I also appreciate all the good
wishes for my family! I could not have
accomplished all that I have for the good people of Southampton Town over the
years and during this campaign without the love and support of my husband Lance
and my sons Jeff, Zack, and Connor.
I want to applaud all of the candidates for their courage and
for the stamina needed to run for public office. It is not easy to put yourself
out there, given the intensity of the schedule and all of the political drama
that comes with running a campaign. Thank you to all of you for stepping up to offer
your candidacy and providing choice to the voters for the 2013 election.
May those who have been elected to serve in local government
do so with honesty, integrity, and strength of character, being ever mindful of
our community’s best interests.

On November 5, 2013, Election Day, Southampton Town voters will have the opportunity to decide who should represent them in local government for the positions of Town Supervisor, Town Council, Town Trustee, Town Clerk, Highway Superintendent, Town Justice, and County Legislator.
I am honored to have the Republican nomination to run for the position of Southampton Town Supervisor this year. Joining me on the Republican ticket are Jeff Mansfield and Stan Glinka who are running for the two open Town Board seats.

I consider myself to be a Proven Leader who has accomplished great things for the people of Southampton Town. I have been an independent voice for you. I have stood tall when others looked down at their shoes during times of challenge and controversy. I have faced the many obstacles and political shenanigans placed before me head-on, always keeping in mind my oath of office to serve you to the best of my ability.
In my prior races for public office, I was the top vote-getter in 2001 and 2005 as Town Councilwoman and in 2007 as Town Supervisor. In 2011, when the Republican Party and Conservative Party did not run any candidate for Town Supervisor, I stepped up as a Write-In Candidate six weeks before Election Day to challenge Anna Throne-Holst and provide a choice to the voters. It’s not an election without a challenger who is willing and able to tackle the tough issues facing our community. I garnered over 3900 Write-In Votes in 2011, which is over 36% -- without even having my name on
the printed ballot while the incumbent Supervisor was listed on three political party lines (D, I,
WF). To have thousands of Write-In votes
credited to my name is a historic first for New York State, and I am heartened
by the support and encouragement of those voters from across the political

Unfortunately, there is a pattern of untruthfulness and political opportunism going on with the incumbent Supervisor and she is attempting to besmirch my reputation and proud record of accomplishments for the people of Southampton Town. The FACTS DO NOT LIE.
Thank you to all who have expressed their support and best wishes for my candidacy for Town Supervisor. This is an exciting time! Many thanks also to those volunteers who helped to carry petitions door-to-door to gather signatures from registered voters for candidates to confirm ballot placement for the upcoming November 5th General Election. Your continued assistance with walking through your neighborhood over these last few days before Election Day will help us to meet and speak with voters on a grass-roots level to hear first-hand their concerns for Southampton Town's future.
The campaign is now in its final stretch with Election Day on Tuesday, November 5. We have strove to ensure an issues-oriented campaign about the future of Southampton Town and strategies to protect our small town way of life, and we hope to earn your vote!
